Keep your candle lit until the whole surface is liquid with wax. This is called the melt pool and it can take anywhere between 1-3 hours to form.\u003cbr\u003e  \u003cbr\u003eCandles have memories and if the melt pool doesn’t reach the edge it will only burn that tiny circle in the middle and tunnel. If you only want to light up for an hour at a time use a wax burner. The tea light won't tunnel and you'll still get maximum fragrance.\u003cbr\u003e   \u003cbr\u003eAlways trim the wick before relighting any candle (you don't need to when you are lighting it for the first time). Normal wicks build up carbon, causing black smoke. Wooden wicks burn much cleaner.
